Have you seen this interview with Malcolm Gladwell? It’s unlike any interview or TED Talk I’ve seen from him before. His new book is David and Goliath, Underdogs, Misfits, and the Art of Battling Giants.
I had been wrestling with whether or not to include faith as one of my Characteristics of Endurability. Not that I was confused about whether faith is an enduring quality or whether it should be included in the list in the first place— indeed it’s a fundamental characteristic as old as time itself. Rather I was debating what it should be labeled. Should it be labeled faith, or should it be labeled something more empirically measurable by the social sciences?
I think you may be as surprised and encouraged by this interview as I was.
The segment here below is seven minutes.
