David Vermeesch is an executive brand strategist and creative director. He specializes in enabling companies and non-profit organizations to thrive during periods of transitional change through revitalizing their stories in authentic and fresh ways.
His focus is building value through operational and organizational strategy, identity-building, brand stewardship, convergent marketing communications, and customer experience management.
As a corporate branding art director in 1995, David co-founded Ergo Creative, the Chicago and Philadelphia-based marketing communications agency. As CEO, creative director and strategist, David has launched or re-launched countless organizations, brands, products, services and ideas. He has led successful marketing and development initiatives in some of the most complex and distressed business and non-profit environments.
His career engagements have helped secure clients’ hundreds of millions of dollars in revenue, capital appreciation and philanthropy. National and international notables include AccuWeather, Bluewater, Chicago Mercantile Exchange, Critical Mass, First Fruits of Zion, Grainger Tool, PowerShares, ServiceMaster, Strategic World Impact, Terminix, Tyndale House, University of Illinois, US Cellular, Walgreens, Wheaton College and World Evangelical Alliance.
David earned a BA in Mass Communication and a BA in Fine Art from Taylor University, Indiana.
After 20 years in Chicago, David returned to his native Michigan. He is renovating an office studio on an 1886 farmstead near the Grand Traverse Bay where he lives and works with his wife, son and farm critters. David enjoys history, tending the farm, kayaking, biblical studies, and restoring old things.
